Description
The Lead Systems Engineer will provides high-level technical expertise in the areas of analytical engineering, reliability and systems engineering, and risk management for government and commercial clients in the aerospace industry. May develop engineering reliability approaches, probabilistic cost and schedule assessments and engineering probabilistic risk assessments for clients. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for a high degree of customer interaction and collaboration. Position is responsible for leading junior staff members in the areas of expertise on project/contract work. Experience working in the aerospace industry, preferably space industry, interacting with business leaders and technical experts required. Contract obligations require U.S. citizenship. Position contingent upon contract award. Requirements BS in Engineering, Math or Statistics w/ 8 to 10+ yrs. domain experience Strong analytical skills Strong communication and customer interface skills Proven ability to write technical documents Previous business development experience preferred Spacecraft systems engineering, reliability, and risk assessment expertise preferred Experience involving spacecraft systems, launch vehicle or aerospace systems Experience leading small teams and projects and presenting technical work and concepts to clients

Qualifications
