Job Title: Division Director

Description
The Managing Director will be responsible for providing executive management and strategic leadership to a technical and commercial consulting division. The Director will focus on building a viable revenue base and leading business development efforts to grow and expand the business base. In addition they will develop and execute the business strategy inclusive of strengthening and developing existing capabilities. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day divisional operations and activities of subordinate management staff and evaluating and responding to external business opportunities, while satisfying client expectations for quality and service. They will manage and develop staff through effective communication and coaching and provide technical, professional and ethical leadership and development for the division.


Qualifications
The Director will be results driven and energized by achieving business goals. They will be able to focus on the business goals and quickly organize and manage around achieving them. They will have a proven ability to identify and enter into new markets. They must be able to balance customer and corporate priorities while managing multiple tasks in a demanding and rapidly changing business environment. The Director will possess strategic business development skills and have the ability to initiate and develop diverse business relationships (partnership, alliances, teams) resulting in the capture of new business. Qualified candidates must have successful business development experience in the aerospace industry. In addition extensive experience in the global, civil and commercial space industry such as satellite based telecommunications is a plus. The candidate will be a seasoned management professional with strong financial, business development, corporate strategy, and business acumen. Prior experience in financial, market and business analysis is required. Must be a high energy charismatic leader and be able to focus on high performance results. Driven to take full ownership of business development and management goals and follow them through to completion. Qualified candidates must have strong management and leadership skills with the ability to oversee and manage multiple. Must have a proven ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop staff. Proven planning and management capabilities to include budgeting, scheduling, and staffing. Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability of clearly articulating the value proposition into effective business development communicators such as proposals and other related marketing pieces. Proven ability to establish and cultivate interpersonal relationships both internally and externally at all levels. Strong computer skills including MS Office is required. Management, Business Development Experience and Education: Minimum 10 years related experience preferable in a technical service industry such as aerospace or telecommunications with 8 years of management experience to include resource allocation, team leadership and development, business development and customer service. Broad knowledge and experience in risk and/or decision management is highly desirable. A degree in Business Management or a related technical field is required. Graduate degree in a related field preferably a MBA is preferred. Contract obligations require U.S. citizenship.
